Make It Snappy

It is that time again for MIS. and this one came right when I needed some ME time.... so I put Logan to sleep and in bed and put headphones on and logged on to Scrap Orchard and drove right into it ....
The Instructions
1. choose a kit with one or more of the following colors that I want to see on your LO: red, yellow, brown, teal
2. Choose 2 photos and place them on opposite sides of the LO from one another
3. Choose a background. And place 3 paper strips, blocks or shapes behind each photo.
4. Cluster around each photo making sure you have at least one of each of these on your LO: flower, paint/glitter, frame, stitching
5. Add some more elements (by the photos or not) including at least one of: word strips, metal, hearts, stars. Not necessarily one of each....
6. Put your title or journaling or both between your photos.
7. shadow, date and make it your own.

I decided not to use a SO kit for this MIS  with the color options given I picked an awesome and one of my fave Flergs kits.
With these instructions  here is what I came up with

Gallery Feature 
Scrap Orchard member Christine aka Carolina Scrapper posted this cute layout in the Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs gallery this week. She used a template from this month's Totally Template Make It Snappy (that's a Speed Scrap held on the third Monday of each month ~ all you have to do is show up to get your free template!). I love the mix of patterns, her title work, and the monochromatic color scheme. I can't tell how short he is, but he definitely looks sweet ~ love the photo editing! Make It Scrappy

I am a little late but here is the MIS from Wed. at the Orchard.
the instructions are 
1. In this speed scrap I'm going to let you decide how many photos you want on your layout. You can have none and just have it be a journaling type layout or you can have as many photos as you want. So, for step one decide how many photos you want on this layout.
2. Pick at least three different papers. You'll be using all three as your background so place accordingly.
3. Add some ribbon to your layout; I don't care how many just as long as there's at least one on your page.
4. Take your age and add the two numbers together, with the number that you have now only use that many of the following elements:
Flowers
Leaves
Buttons
Bling
Splatters
You can use any combination of these elements or you can use only one or two... just use your imagination.
5. Pick out one other paper, this one has to be solid. You can use this paper to journal on, mat your photo(s) or just do something else with.
6. Use a font and an alpha to title your layout.
7. Add anything else that you feel is missing. Remember, this is your layout so it yours. However, you cannot delete any of the previous instructions.

A Life Expressed.....

It has been raining all freaking day long so I have kept myself very busy by scrapping. I did one page for the daily challenge at Scrap Orchard  but then reworked it for my facebook and here on the blog :)
